Cowboys Rise Two Spots in Playoff Rankings

STILLWATER – Coming off a 49-42 victory in Ames, Iowa, this past weekend, the Oklahoma State football team moved up two spots to No. 13 in the third edition of the 2017 College Football Playoff Rankings, which were released Tuesday evening.
Following the release of Tuesday's poll, OSU (8-2; 5-2 Big 12) is one of only four schools that have been included in every set of CFP Rankings since the beginning of 2015. The other three schools are Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State.
Oklahoma State, having won 16 of its last 19 games overall, will face Kansas State in a conference clash that could help the Cowboys' Big 12 Championship aspirations. OSU is currently tied with TCU and West Virginia for second in the league, one game behind Oklahoma.
The Cowboys, Sooners and Horned Frogs make up a trio of Big 12 programs in this week's College Football Playoff Rankings. Oklahoma (No. 4) leads the group, followed by TCU (No. 12) and then OSU (No. 13) rounds out the group.
Oklahoma State's clash with K-State is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium. The game will air on ESPN2.
