Cowboys Hold, Cowgirls Fall in Week Four National Rankings

STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State men's cross country team remained in the top 10 in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's national poll on Tuesday.
The Cowboys held steady at No. 9 after their eighth-consecutive Cowboy Jamboree victory, led by senior Sylvester Barus' individual title.
The men's squad remains the highest-ranked Big 12 team in the country, with Iowa State coming in at No. 14 and Texas receiving votes.
The Cowgirls dropped from No. 22 to No. 26 after their fourth-place finish in the Cowboy Jamboree.
The women remain the second-highest placed Big 12 squad in the nation behind No. 18 Iowa State. West Virginia held at No. 29 and Baylor and Texas received votes.
A return to competition is quickly approaching as the teams travel to University Park, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 13 for the Penn State Open.
