Oklahoma State wrestling senior Dean Heil is coming off an undefeated 2017 season that saw the 141-pounder claim his second-straight NCAA Championship. As he leads the Cowboys into the 2018 campaign, Heil looks to become the 17th Cowboy in school history to win three individual titles.

2016-17 Highlights
- Posted a perfect 32-0 overall record with a 15-0 dual mark on the way to his second-straight national title at 141 pounds and the 142nd individual title in program history.
- Recorded ranked wins over No. 16 Jared Prince of Navy, No. 8 Jaydin Eierman of Missouri, No. 5 Anthony Ashnault of Rutgers in the NCAA Tournament before upending No. 6 George DiCamillo of Virginia, 6-3, in the title bout.
- His 32-0 season marked the 15th undefeated season of 29 wins or more in program history.
- Won his third Big 12 title at 141 pounds, defeating No. 8 Bryce Meredith of Wyoming in the finals.
- Named the Big 12 Wrestler of the Year.
