Cowboys Check in at No. 11 After Overtime Win in Austin

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team fell one spot in both national polls this week, coming in at No. 11 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 12 in the USA Today Amway Coaches Poll, both of which were released Sunday.
The Cowboys have now been ranked in the top 15 in at least one of the national polls for 15 straight weeks dating back to Nov. 13, 2016.
OSU (6-1; 3-1 Big 12) is coming off a 13-10 overtime win over Texas this weekend that saw the Cowboys extend their record-setting winning streak to five consecutive wins over the Longhorns in Austin. It is the longest such winning streak by any opposing team in Austin.
The win also kept the Cowboys in a tie for second place in the Big 12 standings and just one game back of No. 4/4 TCU.
Oklahoma State is one of five Big 12 programs to appear in the polls this week. The previously mentioned TCU (No. 4/4) leads the pack, followed by Oklahoma (No. 10/9), the Cowboys (No. 11/12) and West Virginia (No. 22/22), while Iowa State (No. 25/NR) rounds out the group.
OSU will continue its pursuit of a Big 12 title this weekend when the Cowboys clash with West Virginia this weekend in Morgantown. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Milan Puskar Stadium.
