Video Feature: From Paris To Stillwater, Tresfield's Journey A Success
October 20, 2017 | Cowgirl Soccer
A native of Paris, France, Laurene Tresfield was discovered by Oklahoma State head coach Colin Carmichael at a soccer showcase in her home city.
Looking to add a tough, defensive-minded player to the Cowgirls, Carmichael offered Tresfield the opportunity to play at Oklahoma State. Tresfield accepted and made her first trip to Stillwater as a freshman in 2014.
Now a senior for the Cowgirls, Tresfield has played in over 70 games as a midfielder and defender, including 53 as a starter, and recorded three goals and an assist while bringing the physical presence Carmichael coveted to the field. A starter in every game this season, Tresfield leads the team in minutes played and has anchored a defense that has recorded eight shutouts.
