Cowgirl Soccer: Rewind & A Look Ahead

Oklahoma State remained tied for the top spot in the Big 12 Conference standings following a win over Texas Tech in Lubbock last Friday night. This week, the Cowgirls host their final two home games of the regular seasons as they take on Kansas State Friday before a Sunday contest against Kansas.

Weekend Highlights

OSU is 12-2-2 on the season and 5-1-0 in Big 12 Conference play, which puts the Cowgirls in a tie with West Virginia atop the Big 12 standings.
The 12 wins are the most by a Cowgirl team since the 2011 squad posted a program-record 22. The five conference wins also mark OSU's highest total since 2014 when it also recorded five.
Marlo Zoller's goal at the 68:58 mark was the difference in OSU's 1-0 win at Texas Tech last Friday night. Camy Huddleston recorded an assist on the play.
With the win, OSU ran its unbeaten streak against the Red Raiders to six (3-0-3) dating back to 2012.
Michela Ongaro collected four saves against TTU en route to her fourth shutout of the season. Three of those clean sheets have come in Big 12 play.

OSU has outscored its opponents 36-11 on the season, and 12 different Cowgirls have recorded goals. Eleven of those players have multiple goals, led by Haley Woodard and Taylor Olson's six each.
The Cowgirls' 36 goals rank 14^th nationally, and OSU also ranks 20^th in the NCAA with 102 points and 24^th in scoring offense at 2.25 goals per game.

OSU moved up eight spots in the official NCAA RPI this week as the Cowgirls checked in at No. 35.
Anna Beffer is tied for fourth in the NCAA with her career-high nine assists, just three behind the national leader. The total ranks tied for sixth on OSU's single-season list, while her 18 career assists is tied for seventh in program history.
Haley Woodard ranks second in the Big 12 with six goals and 15 points.
Woodard has six goals in 11 games this season, with her 0.55 goals per game leading the Big 12.
A junior forward, Woodard's three goals and seven points in Big 12 play top the conference.
Woodard's six goals equal her career-high total from last season.
In conference-only games, Michela Ongaro leads the Big 12 in with a .917 save percentage.
Ongaro has recorded 56 saves on the season, with 33 of those coming in OSU's six conference games.
Freshman Taylor Olson is tied for the OSU team lead and ranks second in the Big 12 with six goals, a total that also marks the most goals by an OSU freshman since Courtney Dike's 13 in 2013.

OSU opens the weekend Friday at 3 p.m. with its first-ever match against Kansas State before a Sunday showdown against Kansas scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
The Kansas State program is in its second season of competition and first as a competing member in Big 12 Conference play. The Wildcats are 6-8-1 on the season and 1-5-0 in the league; in their inaugural season in 2016, they went 4-9-3.
