STILLWATER - The Oklahoma State football team returns to action today, as the Cowboys take part in their annual Homecoming game against Baylor at 2:30 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
Despite not playing last weekend, state media has covered the Cowboys from all angles this week.
The Oklahoman's Jenni Carlson discussed OSU's level of focus and how despite the TCU loss, the Cowboys still control their own destiny. Carlson's piece breaks down Oklahoma State's route to the revived Big 12 Championship game as well as the way that journey has changed the mindset of the Cowboys' locker room.
Scott Wright, also of The Oklahoman, wrote about the Cowboy defense and defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer's renewed focus on limiting penalties. Spencer discussed curbing the arising issue of defensive pass interference penalties called against the Cowboys.
"It's a fine line," Spencer said of correcting the issue through coaching. "We definitely worked on it with them to show them where the timing of their hits needs to be with where the ball is at."
