Cowboys Hold Steady in Top 25

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team remained in the top 25 in the latest set of polls released Tuesday, coming in at No. 22 in the Associated Press poll and moving up two spots to No. 17 in the Amway Coaches Poll.
The Cowboys are coming off a 61-7 rout of Southeastern Louisiana last Saturday in Stillwater to start the season 1-0 for the ninth time in the last 10 years. The 61-point effort marked the 11th 60-plus point outing under head coach Mike Gundy. The defense held up its end as well, forcing four Lion turnovers.
The Cowboys are joined in the top 25 by Texas (No. 11/20), Oklahoma (No. 14/13), TCU (No. 15/12) and Baylor (No. 23/19), with West Virginia receiving votes in both polls.
OSU will be back in action at Boone Pickens Stadium this Saturday as the Cowboys host Central Michigan at 11 a.m. CT.
