OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team carded a 10-over 290 during its second round at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational on Saturday to remain alone in third place at Olympia Fields Country Club.
Through 36 holes, the Cowboys stand at 577, 17-over par, and trail Texas A&M by two strokes for second place at the par-70, 7,353-yard layout. Illinois carded a 280 during its second round and stands 21 shots clear of the field at 6-under 554.
Illinois' Dylan Meyer and A&M's Cameron Champ share the top spot on the individual leaderboard with 18 holes to go. Meyer carded a 67 during his second round, while Champ posted a 71 to each get in at 4-under 136.
Cowboy junior Sam Stevens remained in the top 10, posting a 72 to stand at 141 and tied for eighth place.
Sophomore Zach Bauchou finished the day tied for 18th at 144 after signing for a 71.
Sophomore Nick Heinen posted a 75 to dip into a tie for 36th place at 148.
Also among the group at 148 was sophomore Hayden Wood, who carded a 76 on Saturday.
Senior Zachary Olsen moved into a tie for 43rd place after carding a 72 for a 149 total.
