Cowgirl Soccer Opens Preseason Camp

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State took the field at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex Wednesday morning for its first practice of the 2016 preseason.

OSU's roster includes seven returning starters from last year's 9-9-2 team, including All-Big 12 performers Natalie Calhoun and Courtney Dike, while 12 newcomers have joined head coach Colin Carmichael's squad.

"We're really impressed with the intensity of the group – they look really fit, they look sharp," Carmichael said. "Day one, you're not looking for a whole lot of technique, you're looking for mentality, and we got that today."

The Cowgirls will continue two-a-day practices leading up to their Aug. 13 preseason exhibition game when they host No. 8 Texas A&M at 7 p.m. The season officially kicks off Aug. 19 with a contest at Georgia.
