Dike Named Big 12's Best

IRVING, Texas – After recording a pair of goals on opening weekend, Oklahoma State's Courtney Dike was named the first Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the 2016 soccer season, it was announced by the league office today.
A senior forward from Edmond, Okla., Dike's two goals last week tied her for the Big 12 lead. With the two scores, she now has 23 goals in her career, which ranks 10th on OSU's all-time list and is one shy of the No. 8 spot, and Dike also moved into the top 10 on the program's career points list with 60.
In Friday's season opener against Georgia, Dike's goal in the 62nd minute gave OSU its first lead of the contest, and on Sunday against Mercer, she scored just 72 seconds into the match to help the Cowgirls record their first win of the season.
Dike finished the weekend with six shots, three of those on goal, in 158 minutes of action.
This marks the fifth time in Dike's career she has been recognized with a Big 12 weekly award.
