August 11, 2016 | Cowgirl Soccer
IRVING, Texas — A pair of Oklahoma State seniors — Natalie Calhoun and Courtney Dike — has been named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Soccer Team, it was announced by the league office today.
Calhoun and Dike are already in rare company and could join an elite list in 2016. Both Cowgirls have earned All-Big 12 Second Team honors three times, making them two of only seven OSU players to be named all-conference three times in a career. Only two Cowgirls — Yolanda Odenyo and AD Franch — have achieved All-Big 12 status four times.
A defender from Sachse, Texas, Calhoun has started 63 career games in an OSU uniform and has anchored a defense that has recorded 19 shutouts over the past three seasons. She's also contributed a goal and an assist.
Dike, a forward who hails from Edmond, Okla., enters her final collegiate season with 21 goals and 14 assists in 60 career games. She ranks 10th all-time at OSU in goals and is just outside the top 10 in assists and points. She is coming off a junior campaign in which she netted five goals and recorded seven assists.
