Adamovic Named To ITA All-American Team

STILLWATER, Okla. – For the third-straight season, Oklahoma State's women's tennis team has an All-American, as Katarina Adamovic was named to the ITA All-American team, which was announced on Thursday.
Adamovic is the tenth Cowgirl to receive All-American honors in school history. During the NCAA Singles Championship, Adamovic became the first Cowgirl since Lori McNeil in 1983 to advance to the quarterfinals of the individual tournament.
During the NCAA Tennis Championships, Adamovic knocked off six opponents ranked inside the top 25, including two wins over No. 5 Ellen Perez of Georgia.
The Cowgirl finished the season ranked No. 17 after jumping 30 spots after her performances at the NCAA Tennis Championships.
The Cacak, Serbia native entered the 2015-16 season ranked No. 92 by the ITA. The Cowgirl would go on to win the ITA Central Regional Championship to secure a spot in the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships.
Adamovic made quite the impression in the first round, as she defeated top-seeded Danielle Collins of Virginia in three sets, to give Collins' her first loss of the year. Collins won the NCAA Singles title in the spring.
