Bayless Named NJCAA Player of the Year

STILLWATER—Oklahoma State's Rylee Bayless has been named the 2016 Dudley National Player of the Year for NJCAA D1 Softball it was announced today.
Bayless, an incoming junior college transfer, joins the Cowgirls via Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, where she helped lead her team to a second-place finish in 2015 and a fifth-place showing this past season at the national tournament.
She brings to Stillwater an impressive list of accolades and accomplishments. She was named the 2015 NJCAA National Player of the Year as well and was twice named a first-team NJCAA All-American.
Bayless was a dominant force in the postseason at NEO. She was named to the NJCAA National Tournament Team both years and named the NJCAA National Tournament Top Offensive Player in 2016.
This past season she led the country in hits, runs, batting average, on base percentage and slugging percentage. She was second in the nation with 55 walks, and hit the fourth most home runs in the country with 23.
For her career, she holds the national record for hits in a career with 251.
In her two seasons at NEO, she finished with 42 home runs, 208 runs, 52 doubles, 160 runs batted in, 81 walks and a .596 batting average, all of which are school records.
