Cowboys Back In Action In Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Fresh off its first victory of the spring season, Oklahoma State's men's golf team will resume play this week when it takes part in the Southern Highlands Collegiate at Southern Highlands Golf Course.
The Cowboys posted a nine-shot victory in their last outing at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational. In the process, sophomore Brendon Jelley picked up his first collegiate victory, finishing four shots clear of the field.
OSU will be one of 15 teams in action this week at the par-72, 7,510-yard layout. The event will consist of 54 holes with 18 being contested each day Monday through Wednesday.
Joining Jelley in the lineup will be senior Jordan Niebrugge, junior Zachary Olsen, freshman Zach Bauchou and junior Wyndham Clark.
The Cowboys have won the event on five occasions, with their most recent victory coming in 2011. That same season also produced OSU's most recent individual champion with Morgan Hoffmann claiming medalist honors.
Play will begin each day at 8 a.m. (PST) and live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
