Cowgirls Battle Tulsa To Draw
March 27, 2016 | Cowgirl Soccer
Oklahoma State returned to spring exhibition action last Saturday, traveling to Tulsa and battling the Golden Hurrican to a 2-2 tie on their home field.
Haley Woodard continued to shine offensively for the Cowgirls, recording her fourth goal of the spring in the 12th minute to give OSU a 1-0 lead.
TU tied the score just before the end of the first of three 30-minute periods of play, finding the back of the net on a header off a free kick.
The home team took a 2-1 lead in the second 30 minutes, but the advantage was short lived as OSU's Natalie Calhoun netted the equalizer off an assist from Morgan McDougal just over a minute later.
Neither team managed a goal in the final 30-minute period as the match ended in a draw.
Michela Ongaro and Ashton Hierholzer shared goalkeeping duties for the Cowgirls, with each surrendering a goal.
