Williams Named Big 12's Best

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State junior Dustin Williams is this week's Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, it was announced today by the league office.
Williams powered OSU to three wins last week, posting video game numbers along the way. The Cowboys' first baseman went 5-for-11 (.455) and led the Big 12 with four home runs, seven RBIs, 17 total bases and a 1.545 slugging percentage. The left-handed hitting slugger homered in all three games and also drove in multiple runs in each contest.
In Tuesday's game at 12th-ranked Missouri State, Williams blasted a two-run home run in the third inning to give OSU the game's first lead in a contest the Cowboys went on to win in 10 innings.
Against Abilene Christian, Williams recorded three RBIs in the series opener, delivering another two-run homer and also plating a run with a sacrifice fly.
In the series-clinching win over the Wildcats, Williams homered in each of his first two at bats en route to a season-high three hit performance.
With his impressive week, Williams now leads the Big 12 in home runs (6) and RBIs (19) while ranking second in total bases (37) and third in slugging percentage (.685).
