SAN ANTONIO – Oklahoma State football teammates Marcell Ateman, Dillon Stoner, Vili Levini, Jordan Brailford, Brian Ciszewski and Caleb Hall-Abbott took a short break from their Alamo Bowl preparation to visit SeaWorld San Antonio Monday morning.
The visit started at the SeaWorld "Discovery Point" area, where Cowboys changed into wetsuits before heading to the park's dolphin pool to meet some new underwater friends.
Each player got the opportunity to swim out to the deep end of the pool and let a dolphin pull them back to land.
"It was fun," Ateman said. "I had never done anything like this. I've never been around wild animals like this. It was crazy. At bowl games, you get to have all kinds of crazy experiences."
Much to their surprise, the players were also greeted with a kiss from the dolphins.
"It caught me off guard," Ateman said. "I didn't think that I'd be able to kiss them. I thought just taking a picture with them was going to be it, but it was a great experience."
After changing back into their street clothes, the Cowboys headed to the Steel Eel roller coaster to get a couple of rides in before heading to practice.
The Cowboys will look to keep the good times going when they face off with Colorado this Thursday night at 8 p.m. in the Valero Alamo Bowl on ESPN. Keep checking okstate.com or follow the team on Twitter (@CowboyFB) for the latest updates on the Cowboys' bowl festivities.
