Cowboys in the NFL, Week Nine
November 08, 2016 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – With the NFL season in full swing, a number of former members of the Oklahoma State football team saw action in week nine.
Emmanuel Ogbah's Cleveland Browns matched up with Dan Bailey and Dez Bryant's Cowboys Sunday. Ogbah recorded four tackles for Cleveland, while Bryant hauled in a 19-yard reception for Dallas. Bailey didn't attempt a field goal, but got on the scoreboard going five-for-five on extra points. In the end, however, the Cowboys prevailed in a 35-10 victory.
Off the field, both Bryant and Ogbah celebrated birthdays last week.
After a few weeks out with a concussion, Titans cornerback Perrish Cox returned to the field against San Diego Sunday afternoon. Cox recorded five tackles, but Tennessee came up short, 43-35.
It was a rough day for a number of former Cowboys' current NFL teams, with Lane Taylor's Green Bay Packers coming up short, 31-26, against Indianapolis and Justin Gilbert's Steelers falling short, 21-14, to division rival Baltimore. Russell Okung and the Denver Broncos also fell to 6-3 on the season Sunday night, dropping a division game against the Raiders, 30-20.
Tight end Brandon Pettigrew's Lions came up on the high side against the Minnesota Vikings, while Ryan Robinson's Seahawks picked up a Monday night win over the Bills.
