Lundblade Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State football center Brad Lundblade has been named to the 2016 District 7 Academic All-District Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Friday. It is Lundblades second-straight year to earn the accolade.
Lundblade, a marketing junior, was named to the district's First Team with a 3.92 GPA. He is one of five Big 12 players to make the First Team, including Oklahoma's Semaje Perine, Kansas' Camerson Rosser, and Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes and Justis Nelson.
The Argyle, Texas, product is no stranger to academic awards. Aside from being named to the all-district team last season, Lundblade also earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 recognition. On the field, he has established himself as a valuable member of the offensive line, having started every game the last two seasons.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District teams include student-athletes divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. All First Team members advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot where first and second teams will be announced Nov. 28-Dec. 1.
Lundblade and the Cowboys head to Manhattan, Kan., tomorrow for a 2:30 p.m. matchup with Kansas State.
