Taylor, Owens and Osborne Up For Piesman Trophy

STILLWATER – The ballot for the 2016 Piesman Trophy was released by SB Nation today and three Cowboy football players have made the list, including defensive tackles Vincent Taylor and DeQuinton Osborne and defensive end Jarrell Owens.
The award is presented annually to the college football offensive or defensive lineman who makes the best play with the ball in his hands.
Taylor was nominated for two plays, including his blocked PAT attempt, run back and lateral to Tre Flowers for a score in OSU's win over Texas and again for his lateral catch, return and subsequent lateral to Jarrell Owens after a Jordan Sterns interception in OSU's win over Kansas.
Owens was also nominated as part of that play, while Osborne was nominated for his interception and return that also occurred in the Cowboys' win over Kansas.
Fans can cast their ballot for their five favorite plays at http://www.sbnation.com/a/piesman-ballot-2016.
The collective fan vote will be included with the vote of an award panel to determine the finalists which will be announced later this week.
The Piesman Trophy isn't limited to scoring plays and candidates are determined by moments that "truly best represent the wild, wonderful world of linemen with the ball in their hands."
