What the Media Are Saying: OSU vs. Texas Tech
November 12, 2016 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team takes on Texas Tech at 2:30 p.m. today in the Cowboys' final home matchup of the 2016 season. OSU is 7-2 on the year and today's game will have a big impact on the conference race.
The Tulsa World's Mark Cooper wrote about the Cowboys competing in the Big 12 title race and broke down all the matchups in today's game.
ESPN's Big 12 bloggers also analyzed some of the teams at the top of the conference standings this week. They pointed out how important the Cowboys winning turnover battle has been this year and how it's turned them into championship contenders.
Adding to that, The Oklahoman's John Helsley wrote that improved balance on offense has had an impact on the Cowboys' success. Helsley noted that "Mason Rudolph and a cast of receivers continue to thrive in the passing game, while backs Justice Hill and Chris Carson have done damage running the ball as well."
As much rides on the result of the game, it's also important because it marks the last home contest for several Cowboy seniors. One of those seniors is linebacker Jordan Burton, who had a long road to OSU and has cherished every moment of his Cowboy career. The Oklahoman's Kyle Fredrickson wrote a great story about Burton and his unique path to OSU.
He's just one of many Cowboys deserving of recognition for their contributions to the OSU football team, though, so be sure to make it out to the game to show your appreciation. Tickets are available at www.okstate.com.tickets.
If you can't make it to the game, then you can watch live on FS1 with Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman on the call.
