Cowgirl Duo Makes History With All-Big 12 Selections

IRVING, Texas – Oklahoma State seniors Courtney Dike and Natalie Calhoun joined elite company with their 2016 All-Big 12 Conference selections, which were announced today by the league office.

Dike was named the Big 12 Co-Offensive Player of the Year and an All-Big 12 First Team forward, while Calhoun was named an All-Big 12 Second Team defender. With those honors, Dike and Calhoun became just the third and fourth players in OSU history to earn All-Big 12 status four times in a career, joining former Cowgirl All-Americans Yolanda Odenyo and AD Franch.

Additionally, Dike joined Odenyo as the only OSU players to earn Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors. Odenyo, OSU's all-time leading scorer, was named the league's top offensive player in 2008.

Also picking up accolades today was OSU midfielder Jaci Jones, who was named to the All-Big 12 Freshman Team.

Dike, who shares offensive player of the year honors with West Virginia's Michaela Abam, is the Big 12's leading scorer this season as she leads the league with nine goals and ranks second with seven assists. She has scored goals in nine games and has a goal and/or assist in 13 games.

An All-Big 12 Second Team performer in each of her first three seasons, Dike ranks fourth on OSU's career goals list with 30 while coming in at No. 5 on the program's all-time lists in assists (21), points (81) and shots (198).

Calhoun has anchored the OSU defense from her center back spot over the last four seasons and has been named to the All-Big 12 Second Team each year. She has played in all 82 of OSU's games during her career and been a starter in each of the last 81, and she has ranked either first or second in minutes played among field players each season.

Calhoun's two goals this season are a career high, and she has played a part in 26 shutouts during her career.

In her first collegiate season, Jones has developed into OSU's second-leading scorer, accumulating 14 points, as she ranks third on the squad in both goals (5) and assists (4).

Jones has played in 18 games this season, 10 of those as a starter, and ranks in the top 10 in the Big 12 in points and goals.
