First Base: Cowgirl Finish Demanding Week
Oklahoma State went 2-2 against tough competition this past week at Cowgirl Stadium. The Cowgirls posted wins against Seminole State and Arkansas while falling to the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch League and Arkansas in the second game of the doubleheader.
Second Base: Shippy Shined Against Pride
Junior Vanessa Shippy showed what she can do against the USSSA Pride last Thursday. Facing professional pitching, Shippy went 2-for-2 with a game-starting double down the left field line. After the Arkansas doubleheader, Shippy is batting an impressive .609 with 13 runs scored and nine RBIs.
Third Base: Whitehorn Remained Perfect
Junior Whitney Whitehorn moved to 2-0 on the year after earning the win against Arkansas in the first game of the doubleheader on Sunday. She went four innings, allowing just three hits on two runs while picking up a strikeout to secure the win.
Home: Cowgirls Prepared For Fall Finale
Oklahoma State (5-2) will look to finish the fall schedule with one final positive this Wednesday when it plays host to Butler County. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. with free admission. This will be the last chance for fans to see the Cowgirls until spring action begins.
