STILLWATER – A pair of Oklahoma State football players secured conference recognition on the heels of last week's 44-20 win at Kansas, as kicker Ben Grogan was tabbed as the Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week and running back Justice Hill was honored as the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week.
This is the third time that Grogan has earned Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week recognition during his career, and is the third time this season that Hill has been honored as Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. A look at what each player did to earn their respective honors:

This is the third time that Grogan has earned Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week recognition during his career, and is the third time this season that Hill has been honored as Big 12 Newcomer of the Week. A look at what each player did to earn their respective honors:
Ben Grogan
- Ben Grogan was perfect on his three field goal attempts and his five PAT attempts in Oklahoma State's 44-20 win over Kansas, but it was the context in which those kicks came that made his day particularly impressive, as Grogan became the all-time scoring leader in OSU history during the win over the Jayhawks.
- With 383 career points, not only is Grogan the Cowboys' all-time leading scorer, but he is also the Big 12's active leader and ranks fourth among all active FBS players.
- On the year, Grogan leads the Big 12 with 9.6 points per game and his 11 field goals made also top the conference charts.
- Grogan has made each of his last seven field goal attempts.
Justice Hill
- Justice Hill carried 22 times for 162 yards and a touchdown to lead Oklahoma State to 44-20 road win over Kansas. Hill's 162 rushing yards were the second-highest total ever for an Oklahoma State true freshman, trailing only Thurman Thomas's 206 rushing yards against Kansas State in 1984.
- Hill's 162 rushing yards against the Jayhawks were the most for any FBS freshman last week.
- Including his effort against the Jayhawks, Hill's average of 119.0 rushing yards per game in Big 12 play ranks third in the league. He is the only freshman who ranks in the top 10 in rushing yards per game in conference play.
- Hill's performance against Kansas marked his third 100-yard rushing effort against a Big 12 opponent this year, as he had 135 yards against Texas and 122 yards against Baylor. He is one of only three OSU true freshmen to post three 100-yard rushing games in a single season, joining Thurman Thomas (1984) and Andre Richardson (1994).
- On the year, Hill ranks second among FBS freshmen with 80.7 rushing yards per game. His 565 rushing yards are the most for an Oklahoma State freshman since Kendall Hunter had 696 in 2007.
