Cowboys Wrap Up Fall Slate In Georgia

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Oklahoma State's men's golf team will close out its fall season this weekend when it takes part in the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, formerly knows as the United States Collegiate Championship.
For the first time in tournament history, the event will utilize the Golf Club of Georgia's Lakeside and Creekside Courses for the Friday and Saturday rounds. Play is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. (EST) both days. For Sunday's final round, play will be contested on the Lakeside Course and will get underway at 8 a.m.
The Cowboys, who will carry a No. 2 ranking into the event, have won two of their three starts this fall and will be one of 17 teams in action at the tournament. OSU has won the event on one occasion, taking top honors in 2013 with an 849 team total. The Cowboys have also produced the individual medalist on one occasion with Trent Leon finishing atop the leaderboard in 2008 with a 208 tally.
With victories at The Carmel Cup and the Paintbrush Invitational under its belt already this season, OSU will be looking to post three victories during its fall slate for the first time since the 1994-95 season.
The Cowboys will feature a starting lineup of juniors Kristoffer Ventura, Stratton Nolen and Sam Stevens as well as freshman Viktor Hovland and sophomore Zach Bauchou.
