Pawnee Pistol Gets His High School Number Retired

PAWNEE, Okla. โ Former Oklahoma State sharpshooter Keiton Page had his No. 23 Pawnee High School jersey retired on Thursday night.
Known in high school as the "Pawnee Pistol", Page was named the state's player of the year by theย Oklahomanย and the co-player of the year by theย Tulsa Worldย after leading the state in points (1,287), scoring average (44.4 ppg), assists (213) and steals (172) his senior season.
Page's 1,287 total points that year established a single-season state scoring record, breaking the 29-year-old record of 1,280 set by Kenneth Johnson of Grandfield in 1978-79. His 44.4 points per game average that year also set a new state record.
Page would go on to make a school record 299 career 3-pointers at Oklahoma State, and his 1,651 career points rank ninth in Cowboy history. He scored a career-high 40 points against Texas, which still ranks as the sixth best scoring performance in school history.
Following his playing career, Page joined Travis Ford's coaching staff, where he still serves as a staff assistant.
