LAWRENCE, Kan. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team ran its winning streak to three in a row on Sunday afternoon with a 74-46 victory over Kansas in front of 4,132 fans inside Allen Fieldhouse.
The Cowgirls improved to 15-4 overall and 5-3 in Big 12 play and ran their winning streak against the Jayhawks inside Allen Fieldhouse to seven in a row. KU fell to 5-14 and 0-8.
OSU reeled off the game's first 13 points and never looked back, holding a 17-7 lead after the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Jayhawks trimmed the deficit to six before OSU used a 14-5 run to push the advantage out to 34-19. The Cowgirls took a 34-21 lead into the halftime break.
Brittney Martin sewed up her fifth consecutive double-double before the intermission, tallying 10 points and 12 rebounds. The senior finished the contest with 24 points and 17 rebounds to go with three steals.
In the third period, KU cut into the margin once again, getting within 11 before OSU used a 14-2 run to extend its margin to 54-31.
Martin was joined in double figures by sophomore Kaylee Jensen, who finished with 15 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore Mandy Coleman added 11 points, while freshman Karli Wheeler earned the start and added 10 points.
Senior Roddricka Patton dished out 13 assists for her second consecutive double-digit assist game.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on Jan. 30 when they host TCU in Stillwater.
