Inside The Numbers: Cowgirl Soccer In Big 12 Conference Play

Oklahoma State opens 2015 Big 12 Conference play this weekend with road games at Baylor and TCU. The Cowgirls were picked to finish third in the league in a preseason vote of Big 12 head coaches. Coach Colin Carmichael's squad finished second in the conference standings in 2014 with a 5-2-1 mark.

• The Cowgirls have captured two regular season Big 12 championships – 2008 and 2011

• OSU has finished second in the Big 12 standings three times – 2006, 2010 and 2014

• OSU's best record in Big 12 play was 8-1-1 in 2006; the Cowgirls finished second in the standings behind Texas A&M

• OSU has finished undefeated in Big 12 play once, that coming in 2011 when the Cowgirls went 6-0-2. Only seven teams in conference history have finished a season unbeaten in league play.

• OSU's longest winning streak in Big 12 play spanned seven games and came in 2010

• The Cowgirls' longest unbeaten streak in Big 12 play is nine. OSU defeated Oklahoma in its final Big 12 game of 2010, then went 6-0-2 in the league in 2011

• Since 2006, OSU is 47-22-13 (.652) in Big 12 regular season games
