Cowboy Football Makes Climb in National Polls
September 20, 2015 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State football team earned spots in both the USA Today Coaches and Associated Press polls released Sunday, moving up to No. 22 and No. 24, respectively.
The jump in the polls comes following the Cowboys' 69-14 victory over UTSA on Saturday, a contest in which OSU forced seven turnovers. This marks the second-consecutive week that the Cowboys have earned a national ranking after coming in at No. 25 in both of last week's polls.
With Saturday's victory, the Cowboys have now amassed a 17-2 record against non-conference opponents since 2010. OSU will take a perfect 3-0 record into the start of conference play next weekend.
Oklahoma State will return to action Saturday as it travels south to face Texas. The contest is set for a 2:30 p.m. start time on ESPN.
