ICYMI: Cowgirls Pick Up Win Against Arizona State

STILLWATER, Okla. – It was a night of firsts and a coaching milestone Friday at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex as Oklahoma State added a huge victory to its resume with a 3-2 win over 18^th-ranked Arizona State.

The win was the first against a nationally ranked opponent for the Cowgirls this season, and OSU saw three different players – Delaney Kiely, Laurene Tresfield and Anna Beffer – deliver their first goals of the 2015 season. Courtney Dike added a pair of assists, while Christina Jean-Charles and Tresfield tallied assists.

Adding to the memorable night, OSU head coach Colin Carmichael picked up his 150^th career victory as head coach. Now in his 11^th season at the helm, Carmichael owns a 150-56-29 record (.700) with the Cowgirls.

Friday's win saw OSU improve to 4-4-0 heading into a Sunday match at UMKC. The Cowgirls will open Big 12 Conference play next week against Baylor and TCU.
