Cowboys in the NFL, Week One

STILLWATER – Several former members of the Oklahoma State football team saw action in week one of the 2015 NFL season.
With five former Pokes on the Dallas Cowboys roster, the OSU connection played a huge role in Dallas' season-opening victory over the New York Giants. Running back Joseph Randle made his first-career start in the pros, rushing for 65 yards on 16 carries and chipping in five catches for 42 yards. Standout receiver Dez Bryant contributed five catches for 48 yards before leaving the game early with an injury.
Former transfer Tyler Patmon contributed both defensively and on special teams for the Cowboys, recording four tackles and 26 yards on two kick returns. Most importantly, kicker Dan Bailey connected on two field goals and three PATs, proving to be the difference in Dallas' narrow 27-26 win.
Perrish Cox, who starred in preseason action for the Tennessee Titans, provided two tackles in a defensive effort that led to a 42-17 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while defensive end Antonio Smith registered two tackles of his own in the Denver Broncos' 19-13 win over Baltimore

Also playing a role in team victories were Kendall Hunter (San Francisco 49ers) and Lane Taylor (Green Bay Packers), while defensive tackle Kevin Williams provided one tackle in New Orleans' 31-19 defeat at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals.
