STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State dropped a non-conference game against Bedlam-rival Oklahoma Friday night as the Sooners emerged a 2-0 winner in front of 2,244 fans at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex.

OU (1-2-0) scored just 18 seconds into the match and added a second goal in the 61^st minute as OSU fell to 1-1-0 on the season. The Cowgirls are now 20-5-3 all time against the Sooners.

"We didn't play well enough — we can be upset all we want, but we did not play well enough," said OSU head coach Colin Carmichael. "Oklahoma was more physical than we were and dominated the game from a physical standpoint, not so much the soccer side of it. They knocked us around, and we didn't respond particularly well to it."

The Sooners' early score came when Devin Barnett sent a pass to Kaylee Dao, who drilled a shot from 12-yards out that OSU goalie Michela Ongaro deflected but was unable to stop as it rolled into the goal to give the visitors a quick 1-0 advantage.

Despite outshooting OU by an 18-11 margin in the match, the Cowgirls couldn't find the back of the net as Sooner goalie Kassidie Stade recorded seven saves.

One of OSU's best chances came in the 53^rd minute when Courtney Dike sent a pass from the endline through the box to Haley Woodard, whose shot from close range was saved by Stade.

Woodard finished with a pair of shots on goal, as did Anna Beffer, who led the Cowgirls with five shot attempts in the match.

OSU returns to action Sunday when the Cowgirls host Georgia at 1 p.m.
