Cowboy Baseball Senior Salute: Gage Green
June 09, 2015 | Cowboy Baseball
Gage Green spent four seasons at Oklahoma State and leaves an impressive legacy behind. The Wichita Falls, Texas native proved one of the Cowboys most reliable and versatile players, and his name is scattered throughout the OSU record books. Green starred as a catcher and outfielder during his time in Stillwater and was a part of three NCAA Tournament teams, along the way helping OSU host two NCAA Regionals, win the program's first-ever Big 12 Conference regular season championship and advance to the third NCAA Super Regional in school history.
Here's a list of some of Green's notable individual accomplishments during his career in Stillwater:• Played in 209 career games, one shy of ranking in the top 10 in program history
• Started 188 games
• Owns a career .292 batting average to go along with 11 home runs, 29 doubles, nine triples and 86 RBIs
• Turned in a career .406 slugging percentage and a .395 on-base percentage
• Collected 204 career hits
• Recorded 56 career stolen bases
• Had 57 multi-hit games and 18 multi-RBI efforts
• Ranks second on OSU's all-time list with 36 sacrifice bunts
• Was hit by a pitch 44 times, which ranks fourth on the Cowboys' career list
• Is one of nine Cowboys in program history to earn All-Big 12 First Team honors twice in a career. He was the All-Big 12 First Team catcher in both 2014 and 2015
• A three-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree
• 2015 Senior CLASS Award finalist
