Cowboys Still Prominent In Rankings

OSU ranked as high as No. 11 in two national polls
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Oklahoma State baseball moved up in several national rankings this week after claiming a Bedlam Series win last week against No. 25 Oklahoma.
OSU's highest ranking is No. 11, with the Cowboys moving up two spots to that position in both the USA Today coaches and NCBWA polls. OSU checks in at No. 12 in the Collegiate Baseball, Baseball America and D1Baseball.com polls, while Perfect Game ranks the Pokes 15th.
Dating back to 2013, OSU has been nationally ranked for 45 consecutive weeks. The Cowboys were ranked as high as No. 5 (by Collegiate Baseball) in the 2015 preseason polls and have spent seven weeks in the top 10 this season.
OSU is one of three Big 12 Conference teams, along with TCU and Texas Tech, in the national rankings this week, and is the second-highest ranked of those teams behind the Horned Frogs, who are ranked as high as third.
Head coach Josh Holliday's Cowboys are 31-15 on the season and in second place in the Big 12 Conference standings with a 14-7 league mark. OSU concludes Big 12 play this weekend when it hosts West Virginia at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium.
