Junior running back looks to play a key role in 2015.
STILLWATER – Rennie Childs has shown promise throughout his Cowboy career, and he could get the chance to play a leading role at the running back spot in 2015.
With Desmond Roland's graduation, the starting position is wide open, and Childs has the opportunity to show what he can do.
Childs, now a junior, received the majority of the first-team reps in the spring and has made eye-opening moves in limited time during his first two seasons.
As a sophomore last year, Childs played in 10 games and earned his first career start against Missouri State. He ranked as the Cowboys' third leading rusher on the year with 294 yards and his three rushing scores ranked as the second-most on the team. His best performance of the season came against Florida State as he ran for 47 yards on 10 carries.
Now that no one is established in front of him, Childs looks to become a key member of the Oklahoma State offense in 2015. With his quick step and determined running style, he has the tools needed to do just that.
