Nikki Wojtowicz
Cowgirl Soccer Top 20 Moments, 1996-2014
July 24, 2015 | Cowgirl Soccer
The Oklahoma State Cowgirl soccer program will mark its 20th season in 2015. As we celebrate two decades of milestones, OSU head coach Colin Carmichael and assistant coach Karen Hancock, who each have been with the program since its inception and served stints as head coaches to help build the program into a national power, collaborated on a list of the top 20 moments in Cowgirl soccer history. Over the next month, we'll reveal their list (which is in no particular order) daily on www.okstate.com.

Nikki Wojtowicz sets Big 12 Conference record with 51st career assist in a 4-2 win over Texas Tech in 2004
Â
A decade after her career ended, OSU's Nikki Wojtowicz still holds the Big 12 Conference record with 51 career assists. Her final and record-setting assist came when she set up Jolene Schweitzer for the Cowgirls' fourth and final goal against Texas Tech on Oct. 8, 2004.
Â
A midfielder for the Cowgirls, Wojtowicz led the conference in season assists just once, that coming in 2003, but climbed to the top of the career list by passing the 50 assists of Nebraska's Meghan Anderson.
Â
Wojtowicz set an OSU record with 17 assists as a junior in 2003, the second highest single-season total in Big 12 history, and also had seasons of 13, 12 and nine assists.
Â
Wojtowicz' 51 assists are 24 more than the next highest player on OSU's career list. She also set a program record by collecting three three-assist games during her career.
Â
Colin Carmichael: "That number — 51 assists — is quite amazing. When you look in the history books at OSU, no one is even close to that. For her to basically double up anyone else in her career here kind of blows your mind a little bit. I'm really happy for Nikki. She had some highs and lows here, there were some times she didn't play as much as she wanted and she had to work hard at other aspects of her game, but her ability to set up was second to none."
