Niebrugge Named All-America Scholar

NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma State's Jordan Niebrugge has been named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar it was announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Wednesday.
Fresh off a historic run at The Open Championship that saw the rising senior earn low amateur honors on Monday, Niebrugge was honored for his work in the classroom.
To be eligible for All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically and compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level. Additionally, they must participate in 50 percent of his team's competitive rounds and have a stroke average under 76.0.
This past season, Niebrugge tallied a stroke average of 71.59 and posted five top 10s on the season. After tying for fifth place at the Big 12 Championship, the Mequon, Wis., native posted his first victory of the season at the NCAA New Haven Regional after firing a 203 total that included a 62 during his second round.
