Cowboy Wrestling Recruiting Class Named No. 2 by Intermat

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State wrestling's 2015 recruiting class, which is highlighted by six top-100 recruits, was named the second-best recruiting class in the nation, behind Arizona State, by Intermat on Wednesday.
Leading the class for the Pokes is No. 16 Joe Smith, a Stillwater, Okla., native and son of the Cowboys' head coach John Smith. After winning his third state championship, Joe was selected as the state and Central Region winner of the Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award presented by the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, which recognizes the best high school senior wrestlers.
He is joined by another Dave Schultz state winner in Nick Piccininni, who comes to the Cowboy squad from Ward Melville, N.Y. Ranked No. 26 in the country, Piccininni became the second wrestler in Long Island history to earn four state titles earlier this year.
The Cowboys have three other notable Oklahomans joining the program in three-time state champion Kaid Brock (No. 23) of Stillwater, three-time state champion Boo Lewallen (No. 38) of Yukon and four-time state finalist Tristan Moran of Stillwater.
From Crystal Lake, Ill., comes two-time state champion and 57th-ranked Andrew Marsden, and out of Davison, Mich., comes No. 62 Lincoln
