April 07, 2015 | Cowboy Baseball
STILLWATER, Okla. -- On the heels of a 3-1 week that included a sweep of 18th-ranked Texas, Oklahoma State baseball has moved back into the top 10 of the national rankings.
The Cowboys were ranked in the top 10 the first four weeks of the season, and this week jumped back in at No. 9 in the Collegiate Baseball poll. OSU also moved up in five other polls, including re-entering the Perfect Game rankings at No. 19 after not being on that publication's list for the past six weeks.
OSU's other national rankings include:
- No. 13 by the NCBWA
- No. 14 in the USA Today Coaches Poll
- No. 14 by D1Baseball.com
- No. 15 by Baseball America
Dating back to 2013, OSU has been nationally ranked for 41 consecutive weeks. The Cowboys were ranked as high as No. 5 (by Collegiate Baseball) in the 2015 preseason polls.
OSU is one of four Big 12 Conference teams, along with TCU, Texas and Texas Tech, in the national rankings this week, and is the second-highest ranked of those teams behind the Horned Frogs.
Coach Josh Holliday's Cowboys are 22-9 overall on the season entering tonight's Bedlam contest at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium, and OSU is atop the Big 12 Conference standings with a 7-2 mark.
