Cowboys Set For Action In Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team will be back in action this weekend when it takes part in the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club.
The Cowboys will be one of 15 teams in action at the par-72, 7,005-yard layout. The event will get underway on Saturday with 36 holes before concluding with Sunday's third round.
OSU is coming off a sixth-place showing at the Valspar Collegiate in West Palm Beach, Fla., in its last outing.
The Cowboy starting five will consist of junior Jordan Niebrugge, freshman Kristoffer Ventura, sophomore Zachary Olsen and redshirt freshmen Brendon Jelley and Stratton Nolen.
OSU won the event in 2011 with a 16-under total of 848, while Kevin Tway came away with medalist honors after finishing at 12-under 204.
The Cowboys will get their first round underway at 8:30 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with GRU Augusta and Georgia.
