Cowboy Trio Wraps Up Play At The Masters

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Oklahoma State's trio of Hunter Mahan, Rickie Fowler and Morgan Hoffmann all broke par on Sunday during the final round at The Masters to cap another strong showing by former Cowboys at Augusta National Golf Club.
The three players combined to shoot 12-under par during their final rounds with Mahan and Fowler carding 67s, while Hoffmann finished up with a 2-under 70.
For Mahan, the 5-under score gave him an 8-under total of 280 and tied him for ninth place, giving him his third career top 10 at The Masters. Mahan posted three birdies on his outward nine to turn at 1-under. On his back nine, Mahan strung together four birdies during the five-hole stretch from Nos. 12-16 to come home in 4-under 32.
Fowler's 67 matched his low round at The Masters in five career starts and tied him for 12th place at 6-under 282. After opening with a pair of birdies, Fowler turned at 3-under. After a bogey at the 12th, he rebounded with eagle-birdie over the next two holes and added another birdie at the 16th before closing with a bogey at the 18th.
Making his first career start at the event, Hoffmann carded his low round of the event with his 2-under tally to finish tied for 28th place at 1-under 287. Hofmann birdied Nos. 6 and 8 to turn at 1-under. After his lone bogey of his inward nine moved him back to even, he carded back-to-back birdies at the 13th and 14th to move back into red figures for the day and the tournament.
