April 10, 2015 | Cowboy Golf
AUGUSTA, Ga. - All three Oklahoma State representatives in the field at The Masters made the cut and will play the weekend at Augusta National Golf Club.
Rickie Fowler, Morgan Hoffmann and Hunter Mahan all posted 36-hole totals of 1-over 145 to come in tied for 33rd place.
Fowler followed an opening 73 with a 72 on Friday. Standing at 4-over par for the day through 11 holes, Fowler posted birdies on Nos. 13, 15, 17 and 18 to move back to level for the day and inside the cut line.
The former Cowboy has now made the cut in all five of his starts at the event.
Making his Masters debut, Hoffmann also posted scores of 73 and 72. Like Fowler, Hoffmann also finished strong to make it to the weekend. After a triple bogey at the 11th moved him to 3-over for the day, Hoffmann birdied 14, 15 and 18 to get back to even par for his round.
Mahan made the biggest move of the three, bouncing back from a 75 during his first round with a 2-under 70. After carding three birdies to turn at 1-under, Mahan birdied three of his last four, including the final two holes of the day for an inward nine of 1-under par. In his ninth Masters appearance, he has now played the weekend six times.
