March 31, 2015 | Cowboy Baseball
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Following a 3-1 week that included a Big 12 Conference series win over Kansas State, Oklahoma State baseball moved up in several national polls this week.
The Cowboys made the biggest jump in the USA Today Coaches Poll, moving up seven spots from No. 23 to No. 16. OSU's highest ranking is in the Collegiate Baseball poll, where head coach Josh Holliday's club moved from No. 12 to No. 11. OSU also jumped to 17th in the Baseball America and NCBWA polls and re-entered the D1Baseball.com poll at No. 20.
Dating back to 2013, OSU has been nationally ranked for 40 consecutive weeks. The Cowboys were ranked as high as No. 5 (by Collegiate Baseball) in the 2015 preseason polls and spent the first month of the season in the top 10.
OSU is one of four Big 12 Conference teams, along with TCU, Texas and Texas Tech, in the national rankings this week.
Winners of 11 of its last 13 games, OSU is 19-8 on the season and faces Oral Roberts tonight in Tulsa before a weekend home series against Texas in a meeting of the top-two teams in the Big 12 Conference standings.
