Cowgirls Finish Day Two of Texas Relays, Bobcat Invitational

STILLWATER, Okla. - The success continued Friday for the Oklahoma State track and field program as the Cowgirls added two more top-ten finishes to their record at the Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational.
The Cowgirls ran four relay teams at the Nike Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, and the distance medley relay team led the way for OSU placing second in the event.
Seven-time All-American Natalja Piliusina, Danielle Coleman, Savannah Camacho and Ingeborg Loevnes put up a time of 11:19.03 in the DMR, finishing just two-tenths of a second behind first-place Baylor.
"Coleman ran a great 400 leg for the DMR team," sprints coach Diego Flaquer said. "Overall, it's been a solid weekend with one more day to go in Texas."
Coleman's day wasn't finished as she ran a leg in the 4X400-meter relay along with Stephanie Ferrante, Ambra Wesley and Summor Fields. The quartet ran a 3:47.02, the seventh fastest time in school history.
"The 4X400 team really picked up where they left off when they scored at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in February," Flaquer said.
At the Bobcat Invitational, Bailey Johnson finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles, running a 1:01.85, a time that would be the sixth fastest in school history if Johnson didn't currently rank No. 4 on the list.
Also at the Bobcat Invitational, Sarah Robinson set a new personal best in the 400-meter hurdles, finishing the race in 1:03.36.
The Texas Relays and Bobcat Invitational wrap up Saturday, but the busy weekend of competition continues for the Cowgirls as they join the Cowboys in Fayetteville, Ark., for the Arkansas Spring Invitational.
