Game Notes
► The Cowboy loss marked the first loss to Oklahoma at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship. Oklahoma State was previously 3-0 against the Sooners at the tournament.
► For the third-straight game, Oklahoma State was out-rebounded by its opponent. The Sooners collected 41 rebounds, topping the Cowboys' 36. The Cowboys and Sooners each collected nine offensive rebounds; however, Oklahoma scored 14 second-chance points to Oklahoma State's seven.
► Oklahoma went on a 12-0 run over a three-minute stretch in the second half to take a 39-35 lead with 13:02 remaining in the game. The Cowboys never regained the lead, and saw the Sooners lead by as many as 15 points the rest of the way.
► Senior Le'Bryan Nash set a new season high in points with 27. Nash also collected 12 rebounds to record his third double-double of the season and seventh of his career.
► Sooners Buddy Hield and Tashawn Thomas led the Sooners to the win, notching a combined 39 points. The duo was a big reason for the Sooners' strong second half, with the tandem totaling 27 points in the second period.
► With nine rejections, the Cowboys came one block shy of tying their season high in the category. Michael Cobbins led the Cowboys in blocks with three.
► The Sooners were nearly automatic from the free throw line on Thursday night, hitting 19 of their 21 attempts from the stripe. The Cowboys hit 8 of their 15 tries at the line.
► Oklahoma State rattled off a 7-0 run in the last two minutes and 20 seconds of the first half to lead the Sooners, 26-21, at the break. Oklahoma's 21 points were a season low for points in a half.
► After a 4-of-7 start from the floor for Oklahoma, the Cowboys held the Sooners to three makes on their last 23 shots of the period to end the half shooting 23.3 percent. The Cowboys shot 34.5 percent in the first frame with 10 makes on 29 tries. The Sooners got their stroke back in the second half, however, and shot 13-of-26 from the field the rest of the way.
