Cowboys Begin Spring Season In Hawaii

KONA, Hawaii - Oklahoma State's men's golf team will get its spring season underway this week when it begins play at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate at Waikoloa Kings' Course.
The Cowboys, who enter play as the event's defending champion, will be one of 18 teams in action at the par-72, 7,074-yard layout.
Last season, OSU tallied a 45-under total of 819 to finish 12 shots clear of the field. Then-sophomore Jordan Niebrugge made it a clean sweep for the Cowboys, closing with an eagle to finish one shot clear of the field at 16-under 200 to earn his first collegiate victory.
This year's tournament will consist of 54 holes with play beginning at 7:30 a.m. (HAST) each day with 18 holes being contested from Thursday through Saturday.
OSU's lineup will consist of Niebrugge, sophomore Zachary Olsen, freshman Kristoffer Ventura, redshirt freshman Brendon Jelley and freshman Sam Stevens. Senior Tanner Kesterson will compete individually.
