Cowboys Back In Action In Florida

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team will return to action this weekend when it begins play at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at Sawgrass Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
OSU, which is coming off a fourth-place finish at The Prestige in its last outing, will be one of 15 teams competing at the par-72, 6,968-yard layout. The 54-hole event will begin on Friday and run through Sunday with 18 holes being contested each day. The Cowboys will get their first round underway at 11 a.m. (EST) and will be grouped with UCLA and Duke.
OSU's lineup will consist of senior Tanner Kesterson, junior Jordan Niebrugge, sophomores Zachary Olsen and Wyndham Clark as well as freshman Kristoffer Ventura.
Additionally, the Cowboys will have a pair of individuals in the field with redshirt freshman Brendon Jelley and freshman Sam Stevens competing.
At last year's event, OSU rolled to a 10-shot victory after posting a 19-under total of 845, capping a run of four consecutive tournament victories. The Cowboys had four individuals finish in the top 10 with Olsen tying for third, Talor Gooch finishing fifth, Clark tying for sixth and Niebrugge tying for eighth place.
