Cowboy Baseball Changes Weekend Schedule
February 24, 2015 | Cowboy Baseball
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Due to a forecast of inclement weather in Stillwater this weekend, Oklahoma State has altered its weekend series scheduled for Feb. 27-March 1.
The Cowboys were originally scheduled to host a three-game series against Western Illinois at Allie P. Reynolds Stadium, but OSU will now travel to Auburn, Ala., for three games at Plainsman Park.
OSU will face Western Illinois Friday at 7 p.m. before a Saturday contest against Auburn at 3 p.m. The Cowboys will conclude the trip Sunday at 10 a.m. with another game against Western Illinois.
"We're thankful to Auburn for allowing us to travel south to get these games in," said OSU head coach Josh Holliday. "With the weather wreaking havoc all across Midwest, the option to not play didn't sit well with us. This is a great opportunity to travel to a great facility and get a chance to play in some good weather against very good competition. We're grateful that Auburn was so accommodating and for our administration supporting us and allowing us to make the trip."
The 10th-ranked Cowboys are 4-3 on the season and ride a three-game winning streak into Wednesday's home opener against Missouri State.
