STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule on Sunday afternoon with a 76-48 win over Savannah State in front of 2,352 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena.
With the victory, OSU moved to 10-1 on the year, while the Lady Tigers fell to 2-7. The Cowgirls also finished their non-conference home slate undefeated for the fifth year in a row and ran their consecutive home winning streak against non-league foes to 48.
OSU started quickly, scoring the first 13 points of the game and led 22-6 after the first quarter. The Cowgirls held SSU to just 30 percent shooting in the first half en route to a 44-18 advantage at the break.
After slowing offensively to start the second half, OSU was outscored 14-13 in the third period and was held scoreless for the first three and a half minutes of the fourth period.
With five minutes remaining, OSU went on a 13-3 run fueled by eight points from senior Brittney Martin to extend the margin to 34 at 76-42.
Martin led all scorers with 26 points and added 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.
Sophomore Kaylee Jensen also logged a double-double, finishing with 10 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
Kenyata Hendrix led SSU with 18 points.
The Cowgirls will begin conference play at home on Dec. 30 when Baylor comes to town for a 6 p.m. contest.
